Solar shading device
Approved document B: Fire Safety, Volume 2: Buildings other than dwellings, 2019 edition incorporating 2020 and 2022 amendments, defines a solar shading device as: ‘A device attached to the external surface of an external wall for reducing heat gain within a building by shading or deflecting sunlight.’
